As much as “surfing” the internet opens the doors to unlimited opportunities for expanding knowledge, connecting people, and development, it also hides a sea of dangers we are exposed to. Unfortunately, there are more and more people creating fake profiles on social networks, sending manipulative messages, or tempting offers that conceal a dark reality behind them. The question is how to become aware of what is actually happening and protect yourself from all of it. At our workshop, you will learn exactly that! Through interactive work, analysis of real situations, and case studies, you will learn how to recognize risky contacts, manipulative behavior patterns, and fake offers — as well as what the correct and safe responses are in those situations. The workshop encourages critical thinking, develops awareness of personal safety, and strengthens young people’s capacity to make the right decisions.
The workshop will be organized through interactive work with participants, with presentations of real and simulated situations from practice. Participants will be shown concrete examples of online recruitment attempts, followed by guided discussion and joint analysis to identify risky situations and appropriate responses. This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from experienced practitioners what this issue truly looks like — and how to protect yourself.
